Gas Tracker

The gas tracker sits in the top right corner of the overview page. It updates every 5 seconds and shows the current gas price in Gwei recommended to confirm a transaction in ~30 seconds.

When the network is functioning normally, the gas tracker will show the fuel pump icon in green. Once gas prices start rising and exceed 50 gwei, the fuel pump will turn orange. When the network is congested ( > 100 gwei), the gas tracker will show the icon in red. When gas prices exceed 100 gwei, its recommended to wait until the network is less congested to avoid paying high gas fees. You can also broadcast a transaction with a gas limit set to a lower price and it will be confirmed when gas prices fall back below that level. This is a convenient way to save on gas fees for transactions that aren't urgent.
